Post 8738 has had a strong start to the week. During Tuesday’s business meeting, the Post welcomed two new members, bringing total membership to 104.67%. This places Post 8738 in the lead for District 2 and well on track to achieve All-State and All-American status for a fourth consecutive year.

On Wednesday evening, the Post hosted a complimentary spaghetti dinner for members of the 169th Fighter Wing’s Munitions Flight. A proud participant in the VFW Adopt-A-Unit Program since 2012, the Post currently supports two military units, including the 169th Munitions Flight.

Due to the weather and the road conditions, the Post will remain closed today.

The Post will close at 3:30pm today. We will assess the weather and road conditions tomorrow and make a decision about Sunday early tomorrow.

The Post will be closed today. We will reopen on Monday as normal.

Tonight’s Carter Lybrand concert has been cancelled and will be rescheduled per Carter Lybrand’s team.

All pre-purchased tickets have been refunded.

The Post will continue to operate today and this evening as normal until further notice. The Commander will continuously monitor the weather and make adjustments in real time as necessary.

A decision on Sunday’s hours will be made at a later time.

Updates will be posted to Facebook and members emails.

We have received several questions about this weekend’s Carter Lybrand concert and the overall status of the Post being open or closed.

We are paying attention to the weather as most are and will make a decision closer to the weekend.

We will be serving Pizza tonight at the Post from 6pm-9pm.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not have Karaoke tonight at the Post. Expect Karaoke to return tomorrow night as scheduled.

We are however having a Spaghetti dinner tonight. Swing by and let us do the cooking.
