Since 1982, residents of Lexington, Nebraska have been turning to the Lexington Community Foundation for their donations and gifts. We are a public charity serving thousands of people who have a common concern – enhancing the quality of life in Lexington, Nebraska. Individuals, families, businesses and organizations have created permanent charitable funds to meet the challenges of changing times.
The Foundation invests and administers these funds. We then use the distributions to award grants each year to many of the humanitarian, educational and cultural organizations in the community. The board of directors and the executive committee manage the business affairs of the Foundation. Twenty-five voting directors are elected to serve four-year terms at the annual meeting each July. The board of directors meets six times a year, and the executive committee meets monthly to conduct business. Each board member serves on at least one standing committee.
