Natalie's Sisters

Natalie's Sisters Extending hope, support and God’s unconditional love to s*xually exploited/s*x trafficked women We provide love, food and other resources, without judgment.

The mission of Natalie’s Sisters is to extend hope, support and God’s unconditional love to s*x trafficked and s*xually exploited women through a first-touch approach providing respite, relationship and referrals to community resources. Our vision is to see s*x-trafficked and s*xually-exploited women restored to their families, their community, and to God as they realize their true identity and fu

ll potential.

…and the Natalie’s Sisters’ Story

Club Outreach began in 2000 through contacts with a family member who worked as a bouncer. When we asked how we could best help the ladies, he said everybody could use a good, home-cooked meal. Soon enough we had a team of women providing food, and a small but dedicated team of women with a heart to go into the clubs. For 25+ years, weekly visits to the clubs have allowed us to develop true relationships. When people ask, “Why are you here?” We let them know God loves us, we love them, and we just want to help. Women respond because they know we care. In 2011, we felt God calling us to do more, so we prayed for a solid year. January 1, 2012, one of the women we’d served in the clubs was murdered. She’d moved from the clubs to online escorting and street prostitution. The phone call about her death solidified our next step. We met with local police to see how we could best help women working on the street. We began weekly street outreach and police partners were instrumental in introducing us to a broader population of women who needed help. Since that time, the ministry continues to evolve. We still deliver to clubs every week and outreach continues in jail and in targeted neighborhoods where street-level prostitution is centered. To provide a stable location for women to receive help and experience healthy community, we operate a daytime Drop-in center in the East End of Lexington. In addition to providing food and other physical needs, we’re often blessed to celebrate birthdays, baby showers, and other special events. Much of our time is spent making critical community resource referrals. All our Sisters have experienced trauma of some kind: childhood s*xual abuse, r**e, physical abuse, trafficking. And when a woman is ready to make significant life change, we assist with referrals to community resources including mental health, detox and recovery programs. As some say, we play the long game. While we often see God at work (miracles of change in women’s lives, families reuniting, women celebrating sobriety, etc.), we don’t always get to see the results ourselves. But we prayerfully serve, knowing God is allowing us to plant seeds! In 2017, one of the first women we met in the clubs in 2000 was baptized—we’d been praying for her for 17 years!

Every family has certain “no-no” words. Some are common, some are unique. In ours, one was "starving". There are people in this world who are truly starving, and we are not among them.
But if there is a population that comes close, it is our sisters. Many come here simply for a meal. They are not comfortable at other organizations - there are too many men, too much stigma, or the distance is too far to walk.

When you provide a meal, you are doing more than feeding someone. You are providing hope and helping sustain them for another day.

We still have many open spots on the calendar this summer. We know it's a busy season, and we are deeply grateful for every meal provided. If you or your small group can help fill a spot, it would be a huge deal for our sisters! We could not do what we do without you! She came weary and open to hear the truth. She has been transparent - her bruises tell a story and she is willing to talk about it - she knows her life cannot continue the way it is. In the short time she has been with us she has taken multiple steps to go to recovery. It hasn't happened yet, but she wants it, we can tell. The day is coming when all the pieces will fall into place. Until then, we pray. And if we find out that she finally made it, we keep praying.
