At Rockbridge Area Health Center, we have the privilege of working alongside people who see challenges in health care access and dedicate themselves to finding solutions. Dr. Stuart Fargiano—known to most simply as "Stu"—is one of those people.
After more than 26 years practicing dentistry, Stu took on a new challenge as a Program Manager because he recognized a greater need: expanding access to oral health care for communities that too often go without it.
Under Stu's leadership, RAHC's dental program has grown into a vital resource for the region. Through both our dental clinics and mobile dental units, the program has brought care directly to schools, rural communities, and patients who face barriers to accessing traditional dental services. By meeting people where they are, the program has helped connect thousands of individuals and families with preventive care, treatment, and ongoing oral health services.
Stu has been instrumental in building a model of care that reaches historically underserved populations and creates new pathways to health care access throughout Rockbridge County. His work has strengthened partnerships with schools, expanded community outreach, and helped ensure that more people can receive the care they need, regardless of geography, transportation, or financial barriers.
We are proud to celebrate Stu's recognition as a Virginia Health Care Foundation 2026 Health Care Champion. His vision, leadership, and commitment to serving others continue to make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of our communities.
