Family Services provides emergency shelter and support for survivors fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, offering safety, stability, and a pathway toward healing and hope.

They remind us that when someone must flee a violent relationship, they lose not just safety, but home. Even if your name is on a lease or a mortgage, when home is unsafe, you are experiencing homelessness.

Collaboration through the CoC helps Family Services quickly connect survivors to the right resources and support.

You can help by donating essential items from their shelter needs list: familyservicesforsyth.org/support-us/giving

Financial Pathways of the Piedmont helps individuals in our community access the resources they need to stay stable and secure when facing housing instability or financial crisis. Through their Representative Payee Program, they work directly with clients at risk of homelessness to promote stability and independence.

They remind us that anyone can face homelessness — a sudden job loss, a medical bill, or the lack of affordable housing can push families into crisis. There are no quick fixes, but with support and community, long-term stability is possible.

Real change happens when advocates speak up, volunteers show up, and neighbors care enough to make a difference.

The Winston-Salem Rescue Mission provides food, shelter, and long-term recovery programs for men experiencing homelessness, addiction, and other life challenges. Through compassionate care and faith-based support, they help men rebuild stability and purpose.

The Mission reminds us that transformation is possible when people are met with dignity, structure, and hope. Their work creates lasting change — one life, one step, one day at a time.

City with Dwellings meets people where they are to connect neighbors experiencing homelessness with basic needs, critical services, and housing resources that strengthen our community. Like a hive, their community thrives on shared effort, mutual support, and constant activity focused on helping one another.

No one should face housing insecurity, trauma, or isolation alone. Together with neighbors, volunteers, and partners, City with Dwellings is creating a resilient community where everyone has the support they need to move from homelessness to stability.

Atrium Health has launched a Community Wellness Clinic during CwD's open hours (M-W 2:00-4:00) at our Community First Center. This clinic serves unsheltered neighbors, offering immediate and potentially life-saving care that can prevent treatable conditions from becoming chronic or fatal. The new clinic will improve health outcomes for highly vulnerable individuals, reduce avoidable emergency department visits, and free up first responders to focus on true crises.

When people have a safe place to live, they stay healthier.

Stable housing reduces emergency visits, lowers healthcare costs, and builds a stronger, more compassionate community.

Because housing is healthcare — and everyone deserves both. 💚

The Salvation Army’s Center of Hope provides shelter and essential support for families in crisis or experiencing homelessness — meeting immediate needs while helping parents and children rebuild long-term stability.

Homelessness is real, and it exists in our own community every day. Through collaboration across the CoC, Center of Hope ensures families don’t fall through the cracks, connecting them to the right help at the right time.

Support their mission by giving, volunteering, or spreading the word so more families can find hope and dignity in moments of crisis. đź’™
