It is with deep gratitude that we extend a HUGE welcome to Lexington's 6th District-Councilwoman Denise Gray as our newest BSC Board Member!

As many are aware, our dear friend, BSC Board Member, and Kentucky House Representative, Lamin Swann, passed away suddenly. RIP Lamin. ♥️ There aren’t any words that exist to explain how much he inspired us all. We miss you Lamin. And we know without any doubt that he would be, and is, SO excited to hear Denise is now a part of the BSC Family!

Thank you Denise… for joining us and being a part of positive and pro-active change and support for our Youth and our Community!

Our last event was a HUGE success with well over a 100 in attendance! Our skater community and families came together in a big way and we’re gonna do it again. We come to you with devastating news. Our dear dear friend and board member has passed away. We are absolutely heartbroken and send our love, support, and deep condolences to his Mom, Partner Sarah, family, and friends.

These photos were shot of Lamin after a lunch the day he accepted his position on our Board. We were so grateful he was so excited about joining. He wanted to do whatever he was able to help the youth in our community and to one way or another… get this indoor skatepark built and give a safe space to skateboard… and to disrupt and put an end to violence, crime, and addiction.

Lamin is a Legend in every sense of the word and will be loved and remain an inspiration to all of us here at BSC, our city, and our entire State. To say he will be missed is an understatement.

These candid shots truly captured his joy and laughter and loving energies.
