Congratulations to one of the Blue Grass Council’s very dedicated volunteers.

We are pleased to announce that Anthony B. Kenney, hailing from Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is a 2025 Territories Alumnus of the Year recipient representing CST 14. A proud Eagle Scout of the Blue Grass Council since first joining Scouting there as a Cub Scout in 1996, Anthony is the Council’s Vice President of Alumni Relations. Anthony serves on the Scouting Alumni National Committee as the National Coordinator for Camp Alumni Associations. As the Alumni Specialist for CST 14, Anthony led CST 14 to become the first CST in the nation with an Alumni and/or NESA Committee in all of its councils. Notably, Anthony was also the Logistics Lead for the inaugural National Gathering of Alumni in 2022. Additionally, he was the Deputy Lead of the Alumni Relations Exhibit at the 2023 National Jamboree — a role maintains for the 2026 National Jamboree. Professionally, Anthony has over ten years of experience with the Kentucky Division of Forestry, currently serving the agency as its Environmental Control Manager for Forest Management. Anthony is also a senior all–risk emergency responder whose professional career has involved hundreds of in-state and out-of-state disaster deployments for wildland fire suppression and ice storms, tornadoes, and floods. His deployments have been conducted at the local, state, and national levels.
