Hang in There! Preparing Your Artwork for Exhibit
Thursday, Oct. 19, 2 p.m. Eastern
Even if you've perfected your artistic process, sharing your visual artwork with the world is often the next hurdle. Join Becky Alley, gallery director and senior lecturer for the University of Kentucky’s School of Art and Visual Studies as she covers, from start to finish, the process of exhibiting artwork. We will discuss where to apply for exhibitions, how to assemble the required materials, preparing artwork for shipping and exhibition, and the basics of loan agreements. The conversation will be tailored for artists new to the application process or those looking to improve their applications.

A Literary Morning With 2023 Individual Artist Fellowship Recipients
Wednesday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m. Eastern
In “Letters to a Young Poet,” Rainer Maria Rilke wrote, “... for one person to be able to advise or even help another, a lot must happen, a lot must go well, a whole constellation of things must come right in order once to succeed.” But in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, we take care of one another, and the literary world of Kentucky is a close-knit and supportive community. We love to lift up and help one another succeed. Join us in welcoming our newest Individual Artist Fellowship and Emerging Artist Award literary arts recipients, hear their words, and learn from each of their approaches to their craft.
