The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce that Tucker LeCompt, of Zone 4, is the 2026 recipient of the J.T. Tallon Memorial Equitation Grant. Each year, the USHJA Foundation awards $1,000 to one Junior rider who has qualified for a national Equitation championship at a fence height of 3' or higher to assist in attending the event.

Show Jumping Hall of Famer Kathy Kusner and Unusual topped the podium for the 1962 President’s Cup Grand Prix at the Washington International Horse Show. Check out the height Unusual gains over the impressive hog’s back with a coop under the middle element. Certainly not to be seen at current shows, coops were common back in the day, but even this jump would have caught riders’ attention.
