Young Hearts is on the move, and we couldn’t be more excited to share the journey with you all! 🏠✨ We’re thrilled to announce that we’re relocating to Knoxville, Tennessee!

While our hearts will always hold a special place for the children we’ve had the privilege to serve in Kentucky, we’re overflowing with anticipation to extend our support to the incredible families of Knoxville! ❤️

Our mission to help children overcome the loss of a parent remains our top priority 🌟💕

🌟 1 in 9 children in Kentucky lose a parent(s) or sibling before the age of 18. As someone who lost my mom at 14, I understand how tough the holidays can be. That's why I founded Young Hearts—a program dedicated to helping kids navigate grief.

🤸‍♀️ Excited to announce a special gymnastics class Shannon Wickel and I designed for grieving children. It's a safe space for those who've experienced loss to find strength and support.

We're thrilled to share that we're hosting a gymnastics class at Kentucky Gymnastics Academy specifically designed for kids coping with grief.

Sixteen years ago today, I had to say goodbye to my mom. In those final moments, I held her hand and whispered in her ear, telling her that she was the best mom anyone could ever have. I'm uncertain if she heard me, but I choose to believe those were the last words she heard before she passed.

Her love was a testament to its pure and unconditional nature, and it's a love that can never be replaced. My heart truly goes out to all the children who have experienced a similar loss, for the pain and longing that lingers in their hearts.

It is so important for children and young adults to have someone they can look up to. As someone who lost their mom at a young age, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate life without that guiding figure. That's why I am so grateful to have found someone like who has become a womanly figure in my life.
Meeting Erika one year ago, I was immediately drawn to her warm personality and infectious joy. Her love for her husband and children shines through in everything she does, and her grace in handling life's challenges is truly inspiring. I see so much of my own mom in her, and I know that having someone like Erika in my life has made all the difference.
Whether it's a parent, a teacher, a mentor, or simply someone you admire, having someone to look up to can provide guidance, support, and a sense of hope during even the toughest times. So if you have someone like that in your life, cherish them and let them know how much they mean to you.
A special thank you to Erika for being the incredible womanly figure that I can look up to. Thank you for being the shining example of grace and love that I strive to emulate in my own life.
