William Gormley McNeill

13 October 1943 - U.S. Navy PB4Y-1 Liberator, BuNo 32034, from Bombing Squadron 111 (VB-111) disappeared with its 12-man crew enroute from Goose Bay, Labrador to Reykjavik, Iceland. Mechanical trouble is speculated as the possible cause.
All 12 men, including Aviation Ordnanceman Second Class McNeill, remain MIA today.

William was a graduate of Holmes High School. His mother was a teacher there.

Late Access
October 23 close out at 5:00 PM

Early and late access times allow job seekers and employers the chance to see what job positions are available/posted and job seekers who registered. This allows those who are unable to attend during the live event time to be able to still see what's out there, with our hope to better meet the needs of the seekers and employers.

This event is completely free for both employers and job candidates / seekers, providing an excellent opportunity to connect and explore career opportunities.
Looking ahead, our job fair will take place on the third Wednesday of each month in 2026.

Tomorrow is Jody’s day in the kitchen and he is keeping it simple for the beginning of fall. Friday menu:

Grilled chicken
Green Beans with ham hock
Scalloped potatoes
Rolls
Cake

All for the low price of $10 for leg quarters and $12 for breasts (there’s only 7 breasts).

Dinner is served from 5:30-7:30 or the food runs out

Heads up on travel around the post due to road construction.

BIG News, Lexington! The New Double Crossover Diamond (DCD) at Leestown Road and New Circle Opens Very Soon!

The new DCD is expected to open to traffic by 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, bringing safer, smoother travel to one of the busiest corridors in the city.

To get ready for the opening, a weekend closure of Leestown Road is needed to safely complete final work and transition traffic into the new interchange.

Weekend Closure and Detour Information:

7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 - 5 a.m., Monday, Oct. 5

Weather permitting, Leestown Road closes between Taylor Drive and Opportunity Way.

Exit 7 (US 421/Leestown Road) on New Circle Road also closes.

5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5

The Leestown/New Circle DCD opens
