This Father’s Day, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, guardians, and father figures whose guidance helps shape families, communities, and future generations.

Fathers show up in countless ways: through encouragement, sacrifice, protection, leadership, and love.

Their impact extends far beyond their households. They teach values, build confidence, support dreams, and help create stronger communities for everyone.

For some, Father’s Day is a time of celebration and gratitude. For others, it brings moments of remembrance, reflection, or healing.

Attention, FCPS families whose students will ride a school bus next year:

Please make sure you complete the IC Annual Update by June 3, the last day of school. The sooner the Transportation Department receives bus rider requests for 2026-27, the sooner our staff can finalize next year’s bus stops and routes.

Quick Facts

FCPS assigns bus routes to registered riders in grades K-12. Each spring, you sign up your child as part of our IC Annual Update if they will need to ride a bus the following school year. There is a yes/no transportation question for each student.
Confirming or correcting household data in our student records system well in advance helps Transportation staff prepare bus routes for the fall and ensures FCPS has accurate contact information if we need to reach you.
You can then create a parent account and/or log in to the school bus portal to see your child’s assigned bus schedule. Note: If you work for FCPS, be sure to register using a personal email account – not your employee Gmail address.

New for 2026-27

The routing system’s free mobile app, BusQuest, will be replaced by EZ Arrival. It gives you the same access as the school bus portal. Simply download it on your mobile device from the app store. If you already have BusQuest, you will keep the same user name and password, and there is no additional setup. Be sure your EZ Arrival app is working properly before you delete the old app. (Note: BusQuest will no longer be available after Dec. 31.)
FCPS is gradually adding capacity for real-time tracking of individual buses.
