How do organic farmers keep their farms growing and profitable over many years? Learn from one of Kentucky's most experienced certified organic farmers at this September OAK Field Day - The Long Game: 25 Years of Organic CSA - at Hill and Hollow Farm in Metcalfe County.

Farmer Robin Verson will share the process of determining what works and what doesn't over her decades of certified organic CSA farming, recount the story of her family farm's growth to over 200 acres and lead a farm tour highlighting food and fiber production.

Stick around or join at 4pm CT for the Kentucky TOPP Mentorship Celebration following the Field Day! Folks will gather for about 30 minutes to recognize KY TOPP mentors and mentees and reflect on the relationships built through this organic transition program.

Register for the field day at oak-ky.org/field-days.

Indoor and outdoor mushrooms, alleycropping, herbalism, forest farming, community food resilience and an impromptu mushroom harvest were packed into this fantastic OAK Field Day at Sylvatica Forest Farm!
Joana Amorim and Michael Beck shared the details of how they've created an economically and ecologically sustainable farm model. From a demo in the "MushRoom" indoor growing space to a discussion of herbal value-added products with multiple sales channels, field day attendees were immersed in the ins and outs of Sylvatica Forest Farm's operation.

OAK is grateful to Joana and Michael, the farmers and ag professionals who took time to attend and the USDA's Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP) for participant support.

Check out the resources from this field day and register for upcoming field days at oak-ky.org/field-days.
