Young Professionals Connect at Valvoline 🛢️

We had a great Young Professionals Connect session hosted at Valvoline Inc. headquarters, bringing together emerging leaders for an inside look at culture, leadership, and growth within a global organization.

Participants heard from Laura Carpenter, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, and Adam Worsham, Senior Vice President and Chief Franchising Officer, in a conversation facilitated and moderated by Morgan Humphries, Nesting Supervisor at Valvoline Inc.

The discussion highlighted Valvoline's Employee Resource Groups, their "Happy to Help" culture, and the company's history and evolution. Speakers also shared meaningful insights on leadership, professional development, and building intentional career pathways.

Thank you to Valvoline for hosting us and to all who attended and engaged in the conversation.

Young Professionals Connect (YPC) is bringing you a strong lineup of opportunities this summer designed to help you grow, connect, and step confidently into leadership.

First up—Navigating the Transition to Leadership on July 28. This session is designed for emerging leaders ready to take the next step, build their leadership identity, and gain practical tools to lead with confidence. Presented by People Pinnacle and hosted by Guide Realty, this experience will focus on real-world leadership skills you can apply immediately.

And there's more coming up soon with YPC:
Next week, join us at Valvoline Headquarters for an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience featuring leadership insights, a culture overview, and a live panel discussion with Valvoline leaders.

Then in June, we head to the YMCA of Central Kentucky for Move & Connect—a hands-on networking experience where you can choose your activity while building relationships with other young professionals.

Swipe to see what's ahead.

For those who may have missed our announcement, YPC is open to all. Events are free to attend unless otherwise noted and open to anyone interested in connecting, learning, and growing with other young professionals in our community.
Bring a friend and join us this summer!

Last month's Young Professionals Connect session was one of meaningful conversation, reflection, and growth.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our April session with Stephanie Greene on emotional intelligence. We appreciate everyone who participated, shared their experiences and insights, and helped create such an engaging and thoughtful discussion.

Stephanie gave us valuable takeaways that we can continue to apply both personally and professionally — from improving communication and self-awareness to navigating challenges and relationships more effectively. We hope everyone walked away with something new to reflect on, practice, and grow from moving forward.

We're already looking forward to our next YPC session on Tuesday, May 26 at Valvoline! Be sure to join us for another opportunity to connect, learn, and grow alongside other young professionals in our community.

We had such a great time at our March Emerging Leaders event!
We kicked off the afternoon exploring the Lexington History Museum before coming together for an engaging, story-driven presentation led by Executive Director Mandy Higgins. Through a dynamic slideshow, she brought Lexington's women's history to life, sharing fun, lesser-known stories that sparked curiosity, conversation, and plenty of laughs.
From thoughtful questions to meaningful connections, it was an evening full of learning and community. We wrapped up the session with time to network.
A big thank you to Mandy and the Lexington History Museum for hosting us, to Keeneland for serving as our presenting sponsor, and to Mahan Multimedia for capturing the evening.
And of course, thank you to everyone who joined us! 😊
