Mrs. Rachyl Stonebraker, JAG Specialist at Danville High School, recently took her JAG students on a walking field trip to downtown Danville, where they had the opportunity to hear from Nick Ricardo, owner of Bishop’s Smash Burgers food truck. Mr. Ricardo shared his entrepreneurial journey and encouraged students not to be afraid of failure, but instead to learn from their experiences, work hard, and continue pursuing their goals.

A special thank you goes to Mrs. Jenny Clark and the Danville High School Youth Services Center (YSC) for partnering with JAG and providing cheeseburgers and French fries for all of our students. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and left with valuable lessons about entrepreneurship, perseverance, and following their dreams! 🍔🍟

Our Lynn Camp High School JAG students rolled up their sleeves and stepped up to donate blood at the local blood drive. Being a JAG student means showing up for your community and helping others. Way to give back Lynn Camp JAG! 💉👏

The Bridge Builders program, hosted by Ashland Community & Technical College and JAG KY OOS Boyd and Greenup Counties, meets every Wednesday at ACTC from 3:30pm-4:30pm. Each week, the group will be Crafting for a Cause to provide items for community resources. Anyone enrolled at ACTC or in JAG OOS is welcome to join the group, see dates and times with QR code to register.

This week the group focused on creating fleece blankets that will be donated to children at the domestic violence shelter and the maternity recovery center. 🥰
