Our students are ah-maze-ing! BUT behind the scenes, the Specialists are out here going above and beyond for their students.

That’s why the Owsley County Board of Education awarded our JAG Specialist, Haley Sandlin, with the Above and Beyond Award for the 2025-2026 school year. 🏆👏 Congratulations on this well deserved recognition!

For another year, JAG Kentucky achieved all six national performance standards, reflecting the success of our students, specialists, employer partners, educators, and communities across the Commonwealth.

This achievement represents more than numbers—it represents students graduating, continuing their education, entering the workforce, and building successful futures.

JAG OOS Participant, Isaac Meade, and our OOS Specialist created a blanket for Project Linus. This easy, no sew blanket for an infant took less than an hour to make. This service learning project is in conjunction with Bridge Builders, a program with the United Way of Northeast Kentucky.

Project Linus makes blankets for infants and children, cancer patients, and the homeless. Blankets in the Ashland area are delivered to UK King's Daughters Hospital, used local law enforcement to carry in their cars in the event they are on scene with a child, and to various nonprofit organizations in the area. Project Linus is accepting new volunteers. They provide materials and instructions to anyone that wants to start a local chapter.

Check this website for a local chapter or information on how to start one.

George Stafford, Gaina Compton, and Sandy Nott — our friend and supporter from Toyota Kentucky, were honored to visit Caldwell County.

It was a great day being involved with student speed interviews and networking with administrators. We are excited for the continued growth of our partnership with Caldwell County and look forward to the opportunities ahead for students and the community.
