Did you know? Beaumont is the highest circulating library branch in town! 📚
Thanks to a mix of public funding and philanthropic support, the Beaumont Branch Children's Area has been renovated to make one of the library's busiest spaces even better.
The new space was designed with research-based features that support:
🧠 Early literacy
🌱 Child development
🎒 School readiness
The result is a brighter, more welcoming place where kids can explore and caregivers can learn right alongside them.
Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen. Stop by Beaumont and see the new space for yourself!

$3,300+ for library resources. That's what your votes made possible.

When the Target Circle campaign opened, we asked you to vote for the Lexington Public Library. You did, and you kept spreading the word to friends and family. Every one of those votes added up. Together, you raised over $3,300 to support library resources for our whole community.

Thank you for voting, sharing, and showing up for your library!

For a child, a good book opens doors far beyond the page. 📖

We were proud to see one of our children's librarians,Margaret Bayma, featured by LEX18 talking about why early reading matters so much. As she shares, books help kids build empathy and cognitive skills, and the time spent reading together strengthens the bond between caregiver and child.

Have a young reader at home? Our storytimes, shelves, and programs are free and open to every family in Lexington.

For a child, a book can be a doorway to new places, new ideas and experiences they may not encounter in their everyday lives.

Big welcome to the newest members of the Lexington Public Library Foundation Board! 📚

At our heart, the Foundation exists to support our library and help it do even more for the people it serves—the curious kid, the lifelong learner, the neighbor who just needs a quiet place to think. Our new board members share that belief, and their leadership will help us keep expanding what's possible for our libraries across Lexington.

Please join us in giving Beth Phillips, Bailey Shier, Phil Jun, and Laura Eaves a warm welcome!
