The Jo B. Robertson Charitable Foundation is so happy to be able to support Eastern Kentucky flood victims like Pam, a Wayland KY resident, who was a victim of the disastrous summer 2022 floods. Her house flooded to the roof. Her husband, a firefighter, unexpectedly passed away just two months before, and as devastating as the floods were, they have given Pam a purpose to get up every morning. She's on a mission to get her home repaired, help her family, and support other victims and her community. It’s been a slow process but she and her son are working everyday. She hasn’t receive any FEMA assistance and is currently living in an RV. Pictured are Pam and Missy Allen, Co-chair of the Floyd County Long Term Recovery Group and board member of the Floyd County Community Foundation. https://www.jobrobertsoncharitablefoundation.com/

The foundation is so grateful to Jennifer Nime Palumbo and her team at LEX 18 for their beautiful coverage of the inspiration of the Common Wealth of Kentucky Project. Jo would have watched and shared this segment more than anyone else! Without question, Kentucky is the heart of our mission, and the proceeds raised through this project will go to help as many in need as possible across this wonderful state.

A new project is celebrating the best of the Bluegrass from the people and places that make it special.

Supporting faith communities of all sizes, socio-economic, and racial and ethnic backgrounds was important to Jo and now to her Foundation. The Jabez Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington serves a small community with big hearts. The Foundation hopes its support will help them continue to reach their faith family and extended community in meaningful ways.
