A big thank you to Rotarian Kris Whitley for bringing in our guest speaker, Arthur De Gennaro, Chairman of the Board of Directors of House of Peace Ministries! Arthur was also joined by fellow Board Member Richard Krause.

The House of Peace is doing incredible work right here in our community — serving men in need. It serves as a beacon of hope for individuals seeking shelter and support. 🙏

What a fascinating meeting today! 🚢

A huge thank you to Rotarian Jody Jernigan for bringing in our guest speaker, Michael Jackson, Director of Federal and State Government Strategy for the South Carolina Ports Authority!

Michael shared some incredible insights into the impact the SC Ports has on our state's economy, and the numbers are staggering:

📦 Nearly 900 employees 💰 $87 BILLION in annual economic impact on the SC economy 📅 Strategic plans already in place all the way out to 2050!

The SC Ports Authority isn't just moving cargo, it's moving our entire state forward. What an incredible asset we have right here in South Carolina! 🙌

Rotarian and Lexington County School District One Superintendent Dr. Keith Price invited some very special guests to join us, retirees from Lexington School District One!

💙 These dedicated educators and staff have given so much to our community, and it was truly an honor to celebrate them and say thank you for their years of service. 🙏 🙏

🌍 Did you know Rotary can send YOUR student around the world?

This week, we had the pleasure of hearing from Jami Rankin all about the Rotary Youth Exchange Program - and honestly, it was one of those presentations that makes you wish you were 16 again. 😄

The Rotary Youth Exchange Program gives students ages 15-19 the opportunity to:

🗣️ Learn a new language & culture 🤝 Build lifelong friendships across the globe 🌟 Develop real leadership skills 🌐 Become a true global citizen

And it's available in more than 100 countries. 🤯

How does it work? Students can do a long-term exchange (a full academic year living with host families and attending local schools) OR a short-term exchange (a few days to three months — camps, tours, homestays).

Room, board, and school fees are covered. Families are responsible for airfare, travel documents, and spending money.

If you have a student ages 15-19 who is a leader in their school and community, this could be life-changing for them. 🙌
