Copied email from our new Post Commander, if you've been in the military, you will appreciate his personality:
Greetings Gentleman,
Here are the minutes from the last meeting. We almost had enough folks for a basketball team but due to blood pressures and assorted breathing problems it probably wouldn’t have worked anyway. If you have time to swing by on the 10th of November for our next meeting it would be appreciated as you are valued and your input is always necessary. I’m not sure if we will do cookies and ice-cream as I’m trying out different chili recipes so plan on that and bringing some antacid.
Jeff ordered some Post 6 ball caps which are really nice and will be available for purchase at the meeting, first come first serve. He is also testing out a nice Armed Forces bracelet that was sent to us. If it survives his strenuous day-to-day activities we will look into purchasing a few to sell.
We need some fresh faces in the crowd so please bend the ear of a Veteran to come out and join us as that would be swell.
If you have any items you'd like to put on the agenda please reach out.
Thank you again to Bill Tucker for handling the Adjutant duties, his efforts have been appreciated and please let him know if you bump into him. Josh Clark will be stepping into the role so please wish him well.
Please ensure your dues are up to date. Once again the next meeting will be 11/10/25.
11/11/25 is Veteran’s day. The elementary school will be honoring us at 8:30 followed by an Honor Guard ceremony at the high school at 10:00. Please respond if you will be attending.
Warm Regards,
James Torbit 818 470-0695
(If you are asking yourself who the heck is James Torbit then you need to come to a meeting.)
