It was an honor to have Local 189 Business Manager Jeremy Jenkins invited to introduce Zach Dembo, candidate for Kentucky 6th Congressional District, at our union hall where he unveiled his anti-corruption platform.

Kentuckians deserve leaders who will put working families, good jobs, and the interests of our communities ahead of politics.

The fight for transparency and accountability starts right here at home, and conversations like this are an important part of moving Kentucky forward.

Proud to see our union hall serve as a place where Kentucky workers and community leaders can come together, speak openly, and talk about building a better future for our Commonwealth.

Clean energy!
Good jobs!
A stronger Kentucky!

Local 189 Business Manager Jeremy Jenkins spoke to the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government about the importance of approving solar projects in Fayette County.

Highlighting how solar projects bring together clean energy and good paying construction careers, while dispelling the misconception that construction jobs are only temporary.

For skilled tradespeople, construction can be a lifelong career.

Investing in solar means investing in both our energy future and Kentucky workers.

Great discussions at the Starfire Community Coalition meeting today in Hazard Ky!

Local 189 Business Manager Jeremy Jenkins, along with Local 1445 Business Manager Nick Oney and retired Local 1445 Business Manager Bill Oney, met with representatives from BrightNight Power

We discussed the upcoming solar projects and, most importantly, how we can help ensure our members have the opportunity to put their skills to work on these projects.

We’re committed to building strong relationships with project developers and advocating for good paying, quality union jobs.

We’ll continue working together to make sure our skilled workforce is ready to build the clean energy projects of the future.

Women are breadwinners, caregivers, workers, and leaders. And they deserve workplaces that recognize that!

Unions help women fight for fair wages, affordable health care, paid leave, fair schedules, and the protections working families need.

When women have a union in their corner, they have a stronger voice at work and a stronger foundation for their families.
