Backpack Blessings

When we went out today we met a sweet young man on the streets named Frankie. Please pray for him. He lost his mother a few months back and he is just broken hearted. He needs prayer so I am asking all who follow this ministry to pray for him today. Thank you.

Backpack Blessings is a Ministry in Lexington, Ky that collects survival items for the Local Homeless. We take to the streets and pass them out.

We went out today with some items to give out and Tucker (the dog) dressed up for the occasion.

The fall season is coming upon us and we are getting ready for a few trips to downtown Lexington to give away supplies and backpack to the local homeless. If you want to help us by donating items the best way is to send them from our Amazon wish list. We also need people to help put the backpacks together. If you can't do any of that please be praying for us.

What a blessing today. So many beautiful souls warmed our hearts with love. Misty is the Backpack Blessing’s Queen ( and Momma 🙂 ), Brea and Nathaniel in pic as well. About 30 degrees Fahrenheit or -1.1 Celsius. Cold feet, warm hearts 💕

Just wanted everyone to know I am still going to making backpacks. I took a couple months off because I moved and needed to get everything out of storage that I had and into my garage. Also the things I have to give out are for the winter months. The other problem besides hygiene products I am not sure what to put in the backpacks in the summer. Suggestions for them would be great.

I am getting another batch of Backpacks together finally. I had to take a few weeks and concentrate on my cleaning business because of Easter. Holidays are always crazy busy for me because everyone needs there homes clean to celebrate with family. I am not complaining I am grateful for the work. Anyway now I am working on the ministry and hope to have them done very soon. I am changing some of the items I am including this time because it's warmer. Saying that I will be working on an updated Amazon wish list for the warmer weather Monday and I will post the Link for anyone who would like to help. Please keep me and this ministry in your prayers.

Please keep these two precious young men in your prayers. They received Backpacks a week ago and I had the pleasure of taking them to church yesterday. Then we ate lunch at IHOP and honestly I was humbled by how excited they were about the meal. As people who are blessed to have homes and cars we pass people living on the streets daily. We go on with are lives while they trudge the streets. This young man has a job but doesn't make enough to pay for an apartment. I know God has a plan for these young men. So as I slept in my warm bed last night they struggled on the streets. I am praying God reveals a way to help them. I believe he is showing me a way to make a change. Please pray for them and me. Pray God gives me wisdom, knowledge and revelation of a new way to help the men and women living on the streets.
