The KLB office is closed today, Friday, June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday.

Join us tonight in Wayne Ferguson Plaza for some amazing music and fun activities!

It's time for Sounds of Lewisville (Taylor's Version) presented by Mosquito Joe of Metro Northwest Dallas Fort Worth. Here's what you need to Know Before You Go this week:

* When and where: Tuesday, June 16, 7-9:30 p.m. in Wayne Ferguson Plaza. FREE.

* Legacy Music Studio students and staff entertain from 7-7:45 p.m.

* OVER: An Unofficial Eras tour makes this whole place shimmer from 8-9:30 p.m.

*Due to lawn seating, blankets and chairs are encouraged. Well-behaved pets on a leash are welcome.

* FREE face painting at the Visit Lewisville Texas Visitor Information Center. Plus cooling towels.

*FREE temporary tattoos at the Info Tent, along with free insect repellent, fans, chalk, water refill station.

*Food vendors: Kona Ice of Coppell, JBW VENDING, LLC, Chick-fil-A Main Street, Pans & Platters (gyros), Cerulean Blue Coffee Truck, Sweet Sugar Lab (cotton candy)

*There is NO onsite bar due to changing TABC regulations. BYOB but remember, glass is prohibited in Wayne Ferguson Plaza.

*Vendors: Lewisville Parks & Recreation PLOW, Visit Lewisville Texas Keep Lewisville Beautiful, The Unhinged Swiftie, All Minus Water (freeze dried candy)

On this World Environment Day, we'd like to remind you that you CAN recycle plastic bags, just not in your curbside bin. If you recycle them at local stores with the bags to benches program and then report back to us, we can earn a free bench that will be placed in our parks and along our trails!

The bag photo came from a local Girl Scout troop who collect plastic at their meetings from their families and recycle it. This was over 10 pounds of plastic that did not go into the landfill!

The bench photo shows one of the benches we have earned that provides a peaceful resting spot along the Fox Creek Greenbelt trail.

Send us an email at [email protected] and ask us about our cleanup and litter audit kit program! We provide the supplies for you and your student to do litter pickup on the dates and times of your choosing and we're happy to sign off on hours if needed!
