These days people are just saying that they’re “saved” just to check off a box. Many times their desire is to appear more believable or to impress, especially when you have already mentioned or explained to them your position with God. However, saying that you’re saved doesn’t guarantee spiritual maturity.

It’s important to dig a little deeper to ensure spiritual alignment.

If they are truly saved they would be living as a disciple of Christ and striving in the Word, prayer, having Godly community, and having a relationship with the Holy Spirit.

These are the foundations of their actions, mindsets, and even decision making.

Dig deeper. It’s not enough just to SAY that you are saved!

Just doing what I am called to do!

Kingdom Marriages are on the rise. God’s design for marriage is not and has not ever been for it just to be a “piece of paper” and when society devalues it as such, it takes away from the sacredness and importance of marriage:
1. A reflection of Christ’s love for the church
2. As a medium for true companionship
3. A vehicle of purpose
4. Security for generational impact and legacy.

This is why I am here.

👩🏾‍🏫To teach - expose individuals and couples to concepts that they may not have been otherwise exposed to.

🎯To coach- to guide, direct and, provide preventative guidance to couples so they don’t fall into foreseeable and avoidable traps.

🗣️To counsel - to assist in unearthing the root causes of issues that could be detrimental to their personal and marital success.

I get it…

Getting engaged is EXCITING! As soon as you get engaged, the first thing people ask is, “When are y’all getting married? What’s the date?” This pressure can cause us to get consumed with the wedding planning process and not actually prepare for marriage.

Communication issues are not solved by a wedding. Neither are trust issues or purpose misalignment.

My suggestion is for you to get some premarital guidance—whether it be counseling, therapy, mentorship, or a combination of all three.
Don’t be afraid to postpone the planning or the wedding until you feel comfortable and your nonnegotiables have been resolved.

You can get a recover costs on vendors you book for the wedding, but you can never get a recover the cost of marrying the wrong person or at the wrong time.

In Philippians 4:8, Paul is teaching us how to discipline our thinking.

While this passage isn’t directly about dating, it can serve as a filter for how we think while dating and how we think about the people we’re dating.

When dating, these become questions worth asking:

True — Does what they say align with what you observe over time? Are there inconsistencies? And are you being honest with yourself about what you see and feel?

Honest — Are they transparent, or are they omitting information and holding things back?

Just — Do they have a clear sense of right and wrong, or do their values shift based on convenience?

Pure — Does this relationship encourage holiness, or does it slowly compromise your convictions?

Lovely — Are they pleasant to be around? Do they bring joy? Is there kindness, respect, and emotional safety present?

Good Report — Do those who know them well speak consistently about their character?

Virtue — Do their actions reflect strong moral standards and self-respect, not just spiritual language?

Worthy of Praise — Is this someone you would confidently bring before those who hold you accountable? Would this relationship honor God?

Dating with intention begins with disciplined thinking.

Many relationship challenges don’t begin in marriage they begin in the lack of discernment before commitment.

Strong attraction and emotional closeness can create urgency, but urgency is not the same as readiness.

When couples move forward without fully understanding one another, they often discover incompatibilities only after vows are made.

Dating and courtship are meant to provide space to observe consistency, decision-making, communication patterns, and character under pressure. This process is not about prolonging commitment, but about preparing for it wisely.

Taking the time to truly know someone is one of the most practical ways to protect a future marriage.
