Light Up The City is a non-profit street ministry that aims to transform cities by hosting large outdoor worship events.

We believe nothing has the power to draw others in from the streets like worship music.

Many recognize this month as “Pride Month” but the Bible says that love is not proud.

Again the world try’s to make people believe that Christians hate LGBTQ.

We do NOT hate you.

We are called to LOVE, therefore we can love you regardless of your s*xual orientation or of your sin but as Christians we must love the person and hate the sin.

The bible is clear that s*x outside of marriage is a sin. Marriage being between a man and a women. Anything outside of this is sin.

I won’t be “proud” of sin.

We are all sinners, my sin just looks different than the LGBTQ community. But when I sin, I should not be “proud” of it. If I love the lord, I should feel conviction when I sin.

I will love you through your hurt, pain, and confusion. I will help you when you are in need. I will pray for you when you are too weak or too “proud” to pray and fight for yourself.

God made you exactly who he wanted you to be, and let’s you know how he feels about you. He does not make mistakes, and the Bible helps guide us on his path and what he wants of us and for us.

People use the fact that 1 in 4 women have had an abortion as a reason to push people to pro-choice.
They will say “You probably know someone who has had an abortion and we shouldn’t judge or shame them”. And That is true!

However, I don’t know one person who was one of the 1 in 4 who has had an abortion, that doesn’t carry guilt, hurt, trauma, shame, or lifelong regret to name a few. I promise you they think of that moment, of that baby, of that decision often, or they are so traumatized that they have subconsciously buried it.
It is loving to want to prevent someone from feeling this way, that’s truly Pro-woman.

Protect the woman’s, emotional and mental state as well as protecting the life growing inside of her, because it IS a LIVING baby otherwise why would we celebrate with, pregnancy announcements, gender reveals, baby showers etc.

Grieving alongside a mother who has miscarried her baby and celebrating a pregnancy are both acts of Pro-life you can’t do both of these things while also claiming pro-choice because you still say “it’s not a living being.”

For those who have had an abortion, there is grace and love available for all.

Pray is a great tool that God gave us that is both offensive and defensive.

When things seem chaotic, nothing is right, there’s conflict, anxiety, confusion, stress, sickness, etc just know the battle isn’t against others (flesh and blood) but it’s a spiritual war(Ephesians 6:12).

When things feel heavy and frustrating take a step back and remind yourself that God has got this the enemy will not win.
(Deuteronomy 20:4, 1 Corinthians 15:57)

We are so excited to share this Christmas with the homeless and love on them, sharing the reason for Christmas and that’s Jesus.
God has been moving in the preparations of this event and we are in awe of what’s to come. Please save the date and join us in worship and praise for the birth of our savior.

"Jesus said to him, I am the way , the truth, and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6

⚠️ Warning : This may hurt a little ⚠️

In this day and age we hear a lot of " well this is MY truth' or " that's YOUR truth but this is MY truth".
There is only ONE truth!!!
Jesus is the truth and truth is all over the Bible.
If you go to court the judge isn't going to ask for your truth, he is going to ask for THE truth.

People are so afraid now a days to hurt someones feelings that we just ascribe to this my truth culture. Jesus said some hard things but it was all truth, he said it to religious folks and the everyday Joe. We cant be afraid to say " NO, there is only one truth and I would love to share it with you ". We all Need the truth, we are doing more harm letting them assume they have their own truth.
Being a Christian isn't always easy, sometimes its saying the hard things in a loving way. But the Peace and Joy that comes with being a Christian should nudge you to want to share that with others.

Woman!!!!!
The enemy has been against our gathering and working hard to keep us apart, which should give us comfort that when we meet something big is bound to happen for the glory of God.

Ladies lets gather together in fellowship, make new friends and drink some coffee.

This will be more of an open talk meet up, where everyone is free to share any obstacles or problems that we can come together to help manage it with biblical application. We will also welcome praise reports and just getting to know one another.

I don't know about you but I'm sure we all could use some sisters in Christ community.
