What a blessing to have Ed and Sue Danneker with us this past weekend, to share about their decades of ministry and church planting in Thailand!!

This Sunday, September 27, don't come to Pine Glen Alliance Church, unless you need a place for quiet, solitary meditation in the afternoon in the parking lot. We'll be gathering with our friends from other local churches for a community worship service at 10am in the auditorium of the Mifflin County High School. The details are here: www.facebook.com/events/966476859778049. I hope you are able to join the Pine Glen family and our MiffCo brothers and sisters in Christ for a sweet time of worshiping our good God in a spirit of unity.

We were blessed to hear a strong and important message from Bruce Eveleth on Sunday morning from Luke 7, contrasting the weight of the law with the light and life of the love of Jesus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STH1OcExQuI.

What a blessing to be led in worship by Stacy and Levi Sublett this past Sunday morning, allowing Stacy to get back to his old Alliance roots, as he challenged us to ask "What Kind of Soil is Your Heart?": www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hRYnfA_mjU

Though it took us a few months of scheduling fits and starts to make it happen, Pine Glen Alliance Church was privileged to finally, formally, officially, and publicly welcome Randy and Jeanne Botteicher, Paul Lesher, and Ron Ronk as new church members. (We're hoping that they will have perfected the special PGAC members' handshake soon...)

What a gift to hear from Steve and Alace Straw this past Sunday morning, during Sunday school, during the worship service, and during a fabulous potluck luncheon (featuring, among many culinary delights, some scrumptious ham pot pie, a few trays of quickly scarfed deviled eggs, and some of the best snickerdoodles that Pastor Chad has ever had the pleasure of devouring). We are grateful for the Straws' ongoing work in Africa and look forward to supporting their new work in France: oasisrest.org/oasis/ar-poull-coming.
