It’s been almost 5 years since we lost Daris. We continue to keep her memory alive each day. We created a scholarship in honor of her and have been able to give out 9 thus far. Mifflin County High School Seniors can apply for this for their ongoing education.

Join us on March 24th at Harshbarger's Sub 'n Malt (dine in or take out) to help raise funds for our scholarship. A portion of sales will go towards the Daris Shelley-Ciecierski Memorial Scholarship if you show them this yellow ticket! You can show staff the post or a screenshot of the post. This fundraiser night includes BOTH locations- McVeytown and Port Royal.

It’s almost scholarship season! Our board is meeting tonight to plan our next fundraisers. Don’t forget we are always accepting monetary donations to support our scholarship awards to local seniors heading off to college this fall!

Hi everyone! We wanted to give a quick update so you all know we are still here!

We held a board meeting on Monday- keep an eye out for information on our next fundraiser coming soon! Please also keep in mind that we are always accepting monetary donations as well if you would like to support the scholarship in that way.

We appreciate everyone that is helping us to contribute to the community in this way in Daris’ memory.

Congratulations to the recipients of this year's awards! From left to right, Brenna Dobson, Mia Rhoades, and Bailey McNitt.

We had some absolutely incredible applicants this year, but these three were without a doubt the ones who best exemplify the integrity, strength, balance, and resolve of Daris. I'm certain they will go far and help so many people, and the world will be all the better for having them working in it.

Good luck, ladies! We can't wait to see what you do!

COFFEE SALE - We are selling 12 ounce bags of whole bean and ground coffee from East End Coffee for $15 each. You can get the Sunshine Blend, which is bright, clean, and sweet. Or you can get the Winter Sunflower Blend which is chocolatey, bold, and full. Orders are due by November 16th and delivery should be around December 8th. Today we awarded our first three college scholarships in Daris' honor at MCHS to Madelyn Knouse, Hannah Harvey, and Cade Penepacker. Madelyn is headed to Mount Aloysius to study nursing. Hannah is heading to Bloomsburg to study English secondary education. Cade is heading to Penn State Scranton to study nursing. May your futures be bright! Good luck in college!

Don't forget, you can make a donation to the Daris Shelley-Ciecierski Memorial Scholarship Fund anytime at First National Bank in Thompsontown or Lewistown. All donations will go towards scholarships in Daris' memory for MCHS students going to college for social work.
