Very proud of my Intro to Native American Studies class (ANTH 170). We read "Messages from Frank's Landing" and my students made a story board for their favorite quotes. This is a powerful history of Billy Frank Jr's life and the Boldt Decision. The story boards are in the hall across from my office, Spalding Hall 136 if you want to take a break during finals week and experience their work in person.

We unearthed this unusual figurine while excavating a lost medieval castle at Soulton Hall in Shropshire.

We don't know how old it is, but out expert analysis does suggest that it is from a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away…

Such a wonderful Keynote address at Pi'amkinwaas and musical performance at The Center by Benjamin Hunter to kick off Multicultural Discovery Month.
Thank you to everyone who made food, helped with setup, and enjoyed these powerful gatherings of people. I really felt uplifted by all the good words, music, food, art, and especially people sharing their stories. I want to especially thank Emily Johnson for all her collaborations and support to make this happen.
If you missed the keynote or the performance, or even if you just want to hear more from Benjamin Hunter, he has several Youtube videos and a TedTalk you can peruse.

Hope to see you all at our next event, the Food and Culture night potluck and Dance next Friday at 6 pm in the WCC. This event is free and open to the public. Bring your appetite, and some food and stories to share.
