We want to provide clarity and transparency regarding grant funding The Root Cellar received through the Maine Community Foundation’s Lewiston–Auburn Broad Recovery effort. We also want to share why The Root Cellar is redirecting $65,521.79 for ongoing support of the families of those killed, and those who survived the mass shooting on October 25th, 2023.

Unbelievable day! 8+ churches came together to donate and deliver 152 Turkey Baskets to Lewiston neighbors! Thank you to all who gave so generously and ensured a happy Thanksgiving for many!
