As part of our 15 Year Anniversary, we hosted our Annual Awards Ceremony! We wanted to shout out this year’s award winners!
Our Heartwood Award recognizes long-standing core supporters of Tree Street Youth…this year’s award winners were Lee and Erryl Parker!
Although their work often went unseen by many, Lee and Erryl have been Tree’s bookkeepers since day one! Their role went far beyond the complicated work of keeping the numbers in order. They have built a foundation that made the growth of Tree Street possible. From a grass roots organization that was fiscally sponsored to everything we are today, they have dedicated tremendous time, energy and care.
Our Sapwood Award recognizes a new meaningful supporter and partner to Tree Street Youth…this year’s award winner was Pilgrim Lodge!
Pilgrim Lodge is a multi-generational summer camp and retreat space centered on the spirit of extravagant welcome and inclusion. Located in West Gardiner, Pilgrim Lodge has hosted our youth at its camp where they spent the days canoeing, kayaking, waterfront swimming, engaging in group challenges, and team building over the past few summers. We are so grateful for their partnership and the novel experiences they offer our youth!
Lastly, we have our Youth Trailblazer Award, which recognizes youth who demonstrate exemplary leadership…this year’s winners were Nunay Aliyow and Adam Woodman! Voted unanimously by Tree Street staff, Nunay and Adam are incredible leaders and mentors at our center.
