On October 3rd, Chelse Bourgoin was participating in the Maine Strong Memorial Foundation’s 4th Annual Softball Tournament when she suffered a severe ankle fracture during game five. What began as a day of softball and community took an unexpected turn for Chelse, as she now faces a difficult road to recovery.
Chelse has since undergone surgery and faces additional treatment and recovery time. As a result of her injuries, she will be unable to work for several weeks, leaving her without an income while household bills and everyday expenses continue to add up. As a mother of three, this sudden hardship brings added challenges for Chelse and her family during an already difficult time.
The Maine Strong Memorial Foundation is launching a designated Emergency Relief Fund for Chelse Bourgoin to help ease the financial burden as she focuses on healing and getting back on her feet.
As part of this effort, our Foundation will match the first $1,000 in donations to help maximize the impact of our community’s generosity.
