Dear Lewiston School District Patron:
Lewiston Schools need your help to renew the Supplemental Levy, which funds 36% of our local schools
budget. Every five years, since 1986, Lewiston voters have graciously voted to support their kids and
schools and we need your help to do the same on March 14th The levy is not a new tax – it is the renewal of an existing tax that allows our
schools to maintain current
programs and services that are NOT funded by the State of Idaho. Revenue generated by the levy provides critical support to Lewiston students in 3 key areas:
• Student Support
o Additional Teachers to reduce class sizes
o Additional support staff, including counselors
o Additional special education staff
o Additional early childhood staff
o Enhanced K-3 Literacy Programs to develop reading and writing skills early on
• Student Opportunities
o Robust Career Technical Education (CTE) offerings with ten different programs
o Music, band, orchestra, choir, fine and performing arts opportunities
o Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities including professional/technical student
organizations that compete statewide and nationally
o 1:1 mobile devices for all students
• Student Safety
o Supports three LPD School Resource Officers (SRO’s)
o Security Cameras at all buildings
o Secure entryways to schools
Please join us in demonstrating Lewiston’s consistently strong support for our kids, staff and schools,
by voting YES on March 14th Please consider volunteering or donating to the Supporters of the Lewiston School
District. Donations will allow us to communicate with voters and remind our patrons to get out and vote
on March 14!! If you have questions about the levy or school district, please call Superintendent Lance
Hanson at 208-748-3043. You can also reach out to us on our campaign page at:
