December is here!
The holiday season is starting to ramp up with all the beautiful lights, music, and even some snow the last couple of days 😁
Help us spread some Christmas Joy this season in any of the following ways.
1. Select a participant to shop for from our lists on our page. Comment the code of the person you would like and they will be removed from the lists.
2. Donating to our wonderful cause, if shopping is not something you wish to do. We are always in need of filler gifts (candy, hats, gloves, blankets, gift cards, etc) or monetary donations. Any donations can be dropped off at Opportunities Unlimited, Inc. & OUI Thrift Store, just let them know it is for the Christmas is Joy program. Or send us a message and we can arrange to pick up as well.
3. Sharing our posts to help spread the word! Please remember if you share our posts to put a disclaimer that if anyone wants to pick a participant, to please comment on our post directly or send a message to the page.

Hello Everyone!

We're excited to officially kick off 2025 Christmas is Joy program!

Christmas is Joy is our annual event where we gather wish lists from local agencies supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities. This is a wonderful opportunity to brighten someone's holiday season and remind them that they're thought of and cared for.

How to Participate:
1. Review the wish lists and find a participant you'd like to shop for.
2. Comment below with your selection - they'll be removed from the available list and added to our master tracking list.
3. Have fun shopping! - Remember, these are wishes and guides to help you. You're not expected to purchase every item on the list.

As the weather starts to get chilly, Christmas is Joy is warming up for our annual return!

If you don’t know what it is, we have created a way for the community to bring Christmas Joy to our community members with developmental disabilities who may not get to experience the joy of Christmas due to the lack of natural supports.

Thanks to all of you, we helped provide Christmas Joy to 77 people and 3 families! Special thanks to the employees from US Bank, Sparklight, and LCCU that volunteered a few hours to help wrap over 400 items!
