🏠 It's NeighborWorks Week!

Since 2009, Zack, Maritza, and their family have joined us every year at our Annual Self-Help Housing Dinner — a celebration of something truly special: building your own home, alongside your neighbors, with your own hands.

Their story is one of more than 400 families in Maine who have done exactly that through CCI's Self-Help Housing program since 1991. In Oxford and communities across the state, families are building more than homes — they're building stability, pride, and belonging.

This and next week, the NeighborWorks network celebrates what happens when organizations and residents work together to create opportunity, strengthen neighborhoods, and build a better future for all.

Chartered by Congress in 1978, NeighborWorks America supports nearly 250 network organizations through grants, training, and partnerships. We're proud to be one of them — and grateful for nearly 50 years of their support. 💙

On behalf of Charlie’s family organizing the event, there is a Celebration of Life for Charlie Allen scheduled for June 14th at 1:00 PM at the Moss Brook Church on High Street in South Paris.

Charlie Allen, our beloved volunteer delivery driver and former CCI employee, has passed away.

Charlie had been with Community Concepts for 50 years: 36 of them he spent working in the Housing Department and in 2012, he started volunteering as a delivery driver for CCI.

Charlie exemplified what it means to be in community service for our neighbors. Rest in Peace, Charlie–your presence is dearly missed by everyone who had the good fortune to know you.
