Today we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Second Continental Congress adopting the Declaration of Independence!
On July 4, 1776, our Founding Fathers boldly declared our freedom from Britain and laid the foundation for the United States of America.
250 years later, we continue to honor their courage and the enduring spirit of liberty.
Happy 250th Independence Day, America! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

We extend our deepest gratitude to our extraordinary community for their participation in the Memorial Day Parade & ceremony. The success of the event truly demonstrates the value of collective effort. Our sincere appreciation goes to the distinguished guest speaker, the master of ceremonies, the Scouts, and all attendees who took part in the Memorial Day ceremony. We are deeply thankful for the generous support provided by our sponsors, including those responsible for sound, tents and seating, flags, meals, and dessert. The community's display of generosity, patriotism, and reverence for this solemn occasion was exemplary. On behalf of VFW Downriver Post 7487, we express our heartfelt thanks.

As the observance of Memorial Day approaches, members and families of VFW Downriver Post 7487 came together to place flags at the graves of veterans buried at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery and Dickersonville Cemetery.
From the Revolutionary War through the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT), these heroes answered the call for our nation. We honor and remember their sacrifice so that their service is never forgotten.
Never forget. 🇺🇸
