HUGE THANK YOU to Lowe’s of Owensboro – District 1294, Store #0657 🐾💙

Last week, we had an emergency. Our freezer—used to store training aids—suddenly quit!! These materials are absolutely essential for real-life training that prepares our K9s to recover the missing and bring closure to families.

Without proper storage, those crucial aids would have been lost.

That’s when Lowe’s came to the rescue.

Cody and Dusty didn’t just help—they showed up in a big way. They provided our nonprofit with a brand-new freezer, discounted from $1,000 to just $300, and had it ready for us that very night so nothing went to waste.

Their generosity and quick action directly impacted our mission and helped keep our K9s on track for some of the most difficult and meaningful work out there.

From all of us at the Kentucky K9 Search and Rescue Foundation, thank you for standing behind us and supporting the work we do.

👏 Please join us in showing love to Cody, Dusty, and the team at Lowe’s Owensboro, District 1294, Store #0657!

Did you know that many companies offer Volunteer Grant Programs? These programs provide monetary donations to nonprofits like ours in recognition of the volunteer hours their employees contribute. By simply dedicating your time, you could unlock additional funds to support our mission!

How You Can Help:
1. Check with Your Employer: Inquire if your company has a volunteer grant program. Human Resources or Corporate Social Responsibility departments are great places to start.
2. Submit Your Hours: If eligible, follow your company’s procedure to log your volunteer hours. This often involves a simple form or online submission.
3. Notify Us: Let us know once you’ve submitted your hours so we can track incoming grants and acknowledge your invaluable support.

By taking these steps, you not only contribute your time but also amplify your impact through potential corporate donations. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!

Thank you for your continued dedication and support.

Do you have what it takes to become a Certified Trail Layer Extraordinaire? (No certification actually required)

On January 11, mid day in Owensboro, I’m recruiting a few brave souls to help lay trails for K9 training. No experience required — just show up with your legs, your sense of adventure, and the willingness to be (temporarily) hunted by a dog.

Perks include:
✅ Fresh air (it’s basically nature’s free spa)
✅ Bragging rights (tell your friends you’re a “professional trail ninja”)
✅ The thrill of confusing a highly trained K9 (briefly, but still counts)
✅ Exclusive access to a top-secret, high-stakes, trail-laying mission (ok, maybe not that intense, but it sounds good)
✅ The chance to prove you would survive in the wild (kind of)
✅ Free cardio (gym memberships are overrated)

Interested? Slide into my DMs for the top-secret deets.
