Funded Partner Highlight: Family Refuge Center 💙

Family Refuge Center is the only comprehensive domestic violence and sexual assault service provider serving Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas Counties. Through emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, prevention education, and other supportive services, Family Refuge Center empowers survivors, promotes safety, and works to break the cycle of violence.

Through funding from United Way of Greenbrier Valley, Family Refuge Center is able to continue its Youth Enrichment and Prevention Program. This program provides children and teens with opportunities to build resilience, develop healthy relationship skills, and learn about personal safety through enrichment activities, prevention education, and supportive programming designed to help young people thrive.

We're proud to support programs that empower youth, strengthen families, and help create safer communities for everyone. 💙

🏡 A NEW CHAPTER FOR FAMILY REFUGE CENTER! 💜

We are so excited to share some BIG news! Family Refuge Center has officially closed on our permanent office space in Pocahontas County! 🎉

This space represents so much more than a building. It represents growth, stability, and our commitment to making sure survivors and families in Pocahontas County have access to support close to home. 🌷

And this milestone would not have been possible without the generosity of Sherry Jackson and the late Ryan Jackson. Their incredible contribution to our mission has helped make this dream a reality, and we are deeply grateful for the lasting impact they have made on our organization and the people we serve.

We can’t wait to bring this space to life and show you what’s coming! ✨🏡
