Only 7 days left to hang your ornament on the Angel Tree at the Greenbrier Valley Airport before Christmas. Please stop by and see all the Beautiful ornaments already hung. This is your chance to Honor a love one on this years beautiful tree. Don’t forget about the Candle Light Service on December the 26th at 6:00pm, in front of the Greenbrier County Memorial Angel Tree. I made an early trip to the Greenbrier Valley Airport this morning to visit The Greenbrier County Angel Tree. The tree is slowly filling up, so now is the time to get a great spot for your ornaments. There are many new ornaments that have been hung in the past 2 days. I love going there, pulling up a chair, sitting by the Angel Tree and looking out over the beautiful Airport. It is such a Great Honor to be in the presence of all of the Angels on this year's tree. It is hard to walk around the tree, reading each name and not becoming emotional. This morning while sitting there alone, I looked up the song by Alabama, " I Believe There Are Angels Among Us" and just sat there crying my eyes out. A reporter from The Mountain Messenger called me this morning too, she is doing a story on the Greenbrier County Angel Tree and may be in attendance at the Candle Light Service. I also made a call to WVVA inviting them to cover The Angel Tree. They came and did a story years ago, hopefully they will return the call. I have included as many of the newest ornaments as I could, if I missed some, I am sorry, and I'll get them next time. Just standing by the tree, you can feel so much love... it's hard to explain unless you go and feel it for yourself.

I went to the Airport late this evening and took some extra ornaments under the Greenbrier County Angel Tree. There have only been a few new ornaments added since I was there last. I didn't take any pics this time around. There was a man, a little girl and a little boy sitting at a table close to the tree. I approached their table and told them about the tree and that if they knew anyone they wanted to honor on the tree, that there were extra ornaments for anyone to use. The little girl jumped up and ran up to the tree, then the little boy came up too. They pointed to an ornament that they had hung just today. The little girl then told me, this one is for my Mommy as she pointed to the ornament. I tell you friends, this was one of the few times in my life that I was left speechless. As I sat there in tears, that little Angel girl told me,, don't be sad Mister,, our Mommy is with Jesus. Needless to say, my ride home was a tough one.

Only 6 days left until the Greenbrier County Angel Tree will be up and ready for your ornaments. If you have recently lost a loved one or even years ago, this is a beautiful way to honor and remember them. Everyone is invited to hang your Special Ornament or Ornaments free of charge on the 14th Annual Angel Tree. The Greenbrier Valley Airport, home of the Angel Tree, is open 24/7 with security on site. There will also be extra ornaments and markers under the tree for anyone to use. The Pictures below is of the 2023 Angel Tree and a few of the Angels on last year's tree. Once the tree is up on Friday after 12pm, new pics will be shared everyday.
