The WV Charity Ride for Veterans
Partnering with our Greenbrier Valley Airport, The American Legion Midland Seneca Post 69 was honored to host the WV Charity Ride for Veterans on Saturday May 30, 2026. The Mission of the “American Legion Riders” is to support West Virginia Veterans and Communities. The ride to honor Vets and make communities aware covered 4 days on four different routes through the beautiful mountain roads of our wonderful state.
The 1st day covered the southern part including Beckley, Mullins, Bluefield, Talcott, Hinton & Clifftop. The 2nd day covered the northern part including Sutton, Ivydale, Spencer, Clay & Gauley Bridge. The 3rd day covered the eastern part including Summersville, Richwood, Marlinton, Lewisburg & Rainelle. The 4th day covered the western part including Lansing, Charleston, Milton, Barboursville, Logan & Glen Daniel.
According to their Commander, Chantel Ricketts, Six Different ALR chapters were involved which included 33 individuals riding 13 bikes, 3 Slingshots, 2 Syders & 1 Trike. Commander Gordon Campbell of Lewisburg Post 69, along with 10 other members welcomed the visitors at the Greenbrier Valley Airport to ensure they had shelter, facilities, water, snacks and fellowship. The Legion would like to thank the Greenbrier Valley Airport Director, Ms Martha Livesay & Board Chairman of the Airport Authority Mike Rose, also a member of Post 69, for their cooperation with the logistics.
Lewisburg American Legion Post 69 is located in downtown Lewisburg and would welcome new members as they meet on the 4th Monday of each month at 7:00pm.
