Each year, Red Land Youth Basketball, in partnership with the Prye family, proudly awards the Connor William Prye Memorial Scholarship Award to two outstanding Red Land High School student‑athletes who embody the qualities Connor was known for — kindness, leadership, work ethic, and a commitment to lifting others up.

This year, we are honored to recognize Mackenzie Daldo and Colton Rose as our 2026 scholarship recipients. Each student receives $1,000 to support their post‑secondary education, and both were selected for demonstrating the character, dedication, and positive impact that reflect Connor’s legacy.

Please join us in congratulating Mackenzie and Colton on this well‑deserved achievement, and in thanking the Prye family for continuing to inspire our community through Connor’s memory. ❤️🏀

Saturday marked the 5th Annual West Shore Shootout, and the gym was electric from start to finish. Fans packed the stands and brought incredible energy all night. As always, the basketball action delivered.

Cedar Cliff entered the fourth quarter leading 21–13, but the Patriots refused to back down. Red Land stormed back with grit and heart, cutting the deficit to just one point in the final minute. The Colts held on in the closing seconds to secure a hard‑fought 21–20 win, but both teams delivered an unforgettable game.

The night was a tremendous success in every way. Red Land’s Mini‑THON raised $900.67 to support the fight against childhood cancer — an amazing accomplishment by our community.

We extend a heartfelt thank‑you to our coaches: Coach Pillot, Coach Howard, Brooke Howard, Camryn Segura, and West Shore Shootout alumni Brinley VonHouser and Anna Grace Leese. We also appreciate Tim Deljanovan and Chris Delozier for volunteering to officiate.

Thank you to the Red Land and Cedar Cliff cheerleaders and their youth camps for their outstanding performances, and to the Red Land Friendship Club for providing concessions throughout the evening.

And thank you to our entire community — families, fans, and supporters — for showing up, cheering loud, and making this event so special.

We look forward to continuing this incredible tradition with Cedar Cliff Girls Youth Basketball for years to come.

Congratulations to our 2026 Boys Grades 5-6 Champions: DRAGONS!

The Dragons came into tournament day on fire and never cooled off. Their intensity, focus, and clutch play powered them to the top of the division and earned them the championship crown.

Major respect to the Knights, our runner‑up, who pushed the pace, competed with heart, and made the final a fantastic battle from start to finish.

Great job, Dragons and Knights!

Congratulations to our 2026 Boys Grades 3-4 Champions: BUCKET SQUAD!

What a finish! Bucket Squad brought the energy, the teamwork, and the big‑moment plays to take home the title. They lit up the gym all season and capped it off with a championship run to remember.

A huge shoutout as well to the Rattlesnakes, our runner‑up, who battled all the way to the final and made the championship game an absolute thriller. Both teams left everything on the court.

Way to go, Bucket Squad and Rattlesnakes!
