Today is the end of National 4-H Week, and we want to remind you that in keeping with this year's theme, “Beyond Ready,” you have the chance to go beyond ready when you participate in CCE Essex County's 4-H program! Yesterday was Thankful Thursday, and we want to thank our wonderful volunteers and alumni who help our students go beyond ready through their involvement. Whether you help at the fair, lead our clubs, or engage in community service around our county, we are grateful for your support!

As a reminder to those interested, 4-H enrollment for 2026-2027 is now open. Through joining 4-H, you’ll develop new skills and build connections with our incredible volunteers, alumni, and partners. Become part of the 4-H community today!

It's National 4-H Week! This year's theme "Beyond Ready" focuses on 4-H involvement that develops youth leadership, career readiness, and life skills! What better way to go "beyond ready" than by joining, learning with us, and shaping our program through projects you love? 4-H wants to help you cultivate your knowledge and put it to work bettering your community, but you have to be enrolled to participate. Look at some of the amazing work our students have done this past year through our welding program, county fair, and community partner workshops! You can do that and more if you enroll today!

CCE ESSEX 4-H ENROLLMENT PACKET!!

CCE Essex 4-H enrollment for the 2026-2027 year is now open! An email to existing club members will be going out today with our updated enrollment packet, both equine and non-equine participants will now fill out the same packet, so please select how you will be involved when completing the forms.

New members are also welcome, and can also fill out the form provided, just let us know how you would like to be involved! New enrollees can: Join an existing club, start their own club with at least 5 participants, or enroll individually!

Meet our new 4-H and Local Food Educator!

CCE Essex is delighted to announce the addition of Venice Aureli to our staff as our new Local Food and 4-H Educator. Originally from Rochester, NY, Venice earned a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana. She has been working in local agriculture and food systems for the past ten years with experience in organic vegetable production, commercial mushroom production and community garden management. When not working in the field Venice has filled her professional life with nature based education in a variety of settings from inner city schools to rural -communities. When she can find leisure time, she may be playing with her dogs, canoeing, planting her field at home, or working at her sewing machine. Welcome Venice!
