We are a GO to open the pool. The pool opens tomorrow 5/27!! 😀🌞

Sorry for the long post, but please read below as a reminder of the pool rules and info about the weekly Close Down sign up sheet.

POOL RULES:
1. Pool is for Summerfield Village Residents ONLY
2. Pool hours are daily from 10 AM to 9 PM!!
3. No running, pushing, diving, or careless acts permitted
4. Pool keys are required to access to the pool and restrooms
5. No lifeguard is on duty, so swimming is at your own risk (watch out for one another)
6. The HOA is not responsible for accidents or injuries.
7. A homeowner must accompany all guests to the pool
8. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a resident adult
9. Pool parties are not permitted. No more than five guests per household at a time
10. NO GLASS in pool area!!!!!!!
11. Dispose all trash in the receptacles provided
12. Swimsuits are mandatory; no disposable diapers
13. Close the gate when entering and leaving

Weekly CLOSE DOWN Sign-Up Sheet:
There is a sign up sheet at the pool hanging on the wall. Signups are for a week at a time and run Sunday-Saturday. After the pool closes at 9pm, the following tasks are to be done:
1. Straighten chairs
2. Check skimmer boxes for trash/toys
3. Place any toys/lost belongings in red bucket
4. Check bathrooms for damage
5. Email HOA if toilet paper or soap needs restocked
6. Lock bathroom doors
7. Check trash can/ recycle bins for glass (if found take home to dispose of)

We thank you in advance for all who sign up to help with this. It is a community pool and all help is needed to help keep it running!

We are aware of the aged condition of the pool chairs and loungers. We will be gathering quotes to replace in the future as it will be a large expense.

Pool Season!

The pool is set to open on May 27th, pending all inspections pass.

Restrictions, if any, will be posted as we get closer to the open date and more concise info from the Health Dept.

**** Keep in mind—-As we’ve had in the past, we will need regular weekly evening closedown signups (more info to follow)

Pool Closing
September 7th is the last day the pool will be open for the season ☹️. Thanks to everyone who helped clean it to keep it open this summer!

Due to Delaware county being placed as a Red Level 3 for Covid-19 cases, masks must be worn at the pool when social distancing can not be maintained. Of course, they do not need to be worn while IN the pool.

Also, sign-ups for daily sanitizing are getting low, so please make sure you sign up to continue to keep the pool open.

Thank you to all the homeowners who have signed up to disinfect the pool common areas to comply with the temporary health code mandates for this season! We have had consistent community involvement that is greatly appreciated. Below are a few other important reminders regarding the pool.

- Please directly email the HOA at [email protected] if supplies (i.e., disinfectant spray, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) are needed or if there is an issue with the pool.
- Please continue to look for open spots and sign up to disinfect the common areas of the pool. The schedule for July will be posted soon.
- The disinfectant spray provided does not need to be wiped off the surfaces.
- Please remember that residents need to take their trash with them when they leave the pool due to the COVID-19 health guidelines. However, if you see that the trash or recycling is getting full, please take it to the curb on Thursday evening so it can be picked up.
- Multiple water bottles and toys were pulled out of the skimmers this evening. Please make sure you are cleaning up any trash and toys prior to leaving the pool.
- Please try to leave the light/fan on in the restrooms and prop the doors open with the bungee cords provided several times throughout the day when the restrooms are not in use. This will help with air flow and keep the bathrooms as dry as possible.
- If you are at the pool or are disinfecting in the evening, please close the bathroom doors and turn off the lights prior to leaving.
- The pool closes at 9 PM. All residents need to be out of the pool area by 9:00 PM.

On Friday August 23, 2019 Edmond's Tree service will be removing the remaining hazardous trees in the common area behind Trillium Dr./Chicory Ct. Please avoid the path in this area Friday as they will need the area clear to complete their work. Also, if your property backs to the woods, please ensure the area immediately next to the woodline is clear of any obstacles. Edmond's tree service is licensed, bonded, insured and they have over 25 years experience in the tree trimming business. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

As some of you might have seen on the ‘Summerfield Village of Lewis Center’ group page, the men’s restroom at the pool was vandalized with fireworks yesterday. Camera footage will be reviewed and a police report filed for record. It looks like it was done after the pool was closed last night. Please let the HOA know if you saw or heard any suspicious activity. Thanks to a fellow homeowner, the bathroom was cleaned this morning. If activity like this continues, the pool will be closed. As a reminder, if you have pool close-up duty, make sure the bathroom doors are locked before you leave.

It's POOL season again! Pool opens tomorrow (5/24) at 10:00am. Pool hours are 10:00am-9:00pm. Keep in mind the following:
-NO GLASS IN POOL AREA!!!
-No Running
-Clean up after yourself
-Report any damages or suspicious activity to HOA
-No Lifeguard on Duty, so be aware of those who cannot swim very well, especially young ones
-Sign up for weekly pool close-up duty (takes about 10 min) A sign up sheet including responsibilities will be posted Saturday morning.

We are aware that there are areas have not been mowed yet this year. Our mowing schedule is every Monday. However it has been too wet to mow some areas. Here are some pictures of what they saw today. We hope the rain stops!

Street Tree Removal
-We are aware of the issues regarding the street trees; for example tree roots, sidewalk problems, etc. We received clarification from our law firm that if these trees are removed, a new tree must be replanted after the old one. This replacement does not necessarily need to be the same type of tree as the one removed and can be of any size at planting, but does need to have roughly the same size at maturity and same growth rate. We apologize for any prior miscommunication and any inconvenience this may have caused.

This week we will sending out letters regarding improvements needed for Mailboxes. Those letters will have marked on them whether the box needs cleaned and painted or a full replacement. If a full replacement is needed, please refer to the HOA website: www.summerfieldvillage.org for the Mailbox company’s info and pricing options.

Summerfield Village Christmas Light Decorating Contest


Show your holiday spirit by participating in the 6th annual Summerfield Village HOA light decorating contest! The top 4 houses will be chosen by the trustees and a poll will then be listed on the Facebook Group Page (Summerfield Village of Lewis Center) for all members to pick from. The poll will be listed by December 18th with the final results tallied on December 21st, 2018.
Each member of the group page will get 1 vote, top three places win:
1st place $50 gift card
2nd place $25 gift card
3rd place $10 gift card

Residents, please make sure trash, trash/recycling containers and yard waste are not set out by the road prior to the day before pick up. Also, please make sure these containers are then brought back up the same day after being dumped. Thank you!
