Service members, Veterans, and military spouses enrolled in our program will learn the most cutti

ng edge coaching strategies and techniques to thrive as a service member turned character based sports coach. Upon successful completion of the program, our team works to place Soldier Coaches with a youth, high school or college sports program. There is nothing better than sports to grant these wishes for young athletes, and there are no better role models than our service members and Veterans.

Join us in celebrating our August Soldier Coach of the Month, Debbie Mora

A U.S. Army Veteran and military spouse. Coach Mora has turned more than two decades of leadership experience into a new mission on the basketball court.

For Debbie, coaching is about more than wins and losses. It’s about servant leadership, building trust, understanding the person behind the athlete, and helping young people develop the confidence and character to succeed far beyond the game.

Through Soldiers To Sidelines, she continues to grow as a coach while making an impact on athletes throughout the Nashville community.

Never stop learning. Never get complacent.

No matter how much experience you have or what level you reach, there is always another opportunity to learn, grow, and become a better coach.

During our Basketball Coaching Certification Seminar, Niele Ivey shared how she continues to study the game, learn from other programs, and bring new ideas back to her team Notre Dame Women’s Basketball.

That mindset is a big part of what we encourage our Soldier Coaches to carry with them beyond certification.

Certification isn’t the finish line. Keep learning. Keep asking questions. Keep growing. And keep finding ways to better serve the athletes you have the opportunity to lead.
