Our mission is to improve the lives of children, youth, families and communities by helping them to identify, understand and utilize their own strengths, talents, and resources. Children's Beach House (CBH) is a Delaware-based 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of children,
youth, families and communities by helping them to identify, understand, and utilize their own strengths, talents, and resources. Our Youth Development Program serves under-resourced children with speech/language challenges from across Delaware, offering a community of positive, long-term relationships with their peers and with competent, caring adults. Rollins Child Development Center offers preschool education to children with speech/language delays, hearing impairments, and/or mild orthopedic challenges, as well as typically developing children.

🌟 Do you know a child or family who could benefit from the Children’s Beach House Youth Development Program?

Children’s Beach House is currently accepting nominations for children and families who may benefit from additional support, resources, and year-round youth and family engagement.

A core part of our Youth Development Program is our Family Engagement Coordinators (FECs). Participating families are connected with an FEC who works to:

• Build meaningful, trusting relationships with youth and families
• Identify family needs, strengths, and goals
• Connect families with community resources and referrals
• Provide ongoing family engagement and support
• Help families navigate services and available resources

🏕️ Our Youth Development Program also offers opportunities for:

• Weekend and summer camp experiences
• Enrichment activities
• Youth development and character-building programming
• Parent and family engagement opportunities
• Community events, resources, and trainings
• Year-round connection and support

Who may be eligible?

Children considered for the program should generally:

✅ Be between the ages of 7–12 (can stay in the program until age 18)
✅ Have an active Individualized Education Program (IEP) that identifies speech and/or language needs or services
✅ Come from an under-resourced family or household in Delaware
✅ Be able to participate successfully and safely in programming within a 1:5 staff-to-youth ratio
✅ Be able to participate in our year-round youth development and camp programming
