It is with a heavy heart that the Rotary Clubs of Levelland have made the decision to discontinue the Home for the Holidays Arts & Crafts Festival for 2022. With more vendors making their products available online and shoppers embracing online shopping, we have seen a steady decline in popularity for this event in recent years. At this time, just a month prior to the festival, the number of vendor applications we have received is less than half the number we had received at this same time last year. This indicates the event will be much smaller than last year's event and likely not profitable for many vendors, nor satisfying to shoppers. For these reasons, we have made the decision to cancel the festival.

We appreciate the loyalty and participation of both our vendors and shoppers over the 11 years we have held the festival. We hope this cancellation does not cause undue inconvenience. Thank you again for supporting this project.

“All I want for Christmas is….” Santa has arrived at Home for the Holidays, 4-8 p.m. today. Come visit him with your Christmas wishes and sit for a photo. Bring the kids. Admission for those 12 and under is free. Santa will be here tomorrow Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

40 Vendors with great gift ideas for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, including quality arts and crafts, jewelry, home accents, decorative arts, seasonal decorations, cosmetics, clothing, vintage treasures, holiday treats and much more.

Admission: $3 for adults. Kids 12 and under FREE.

11th ANNUAL HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL SLATED FOR NOV. 12-13

The 11th Annual Home for the Holidays Arts and Crafts Festival will get underway Friday and Saturday at the Mallet Event Center Expo Hall in Levelland and offers holiday shoppers unique gift items for family and friends.

Hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Levelland, nearly 40 vendors are expected to participate in the festival, offering a wide variety of gift ideas for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.

The festival will be open from 1-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 where shoppers can “sip and shop” with local winery vendors from 5-8 p.m. They include Prairie Chicks Winery and Llano Estacado Winery.

Vendors will be offering quality arts and crafts, jewelry, home accents, decorative arts, seasonal food products, seasonal decorations, cosmetics, clothing, vintage treasures, sweet treats and much more.

Shopping continues 9 a.m - 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. Special arrangements have been made for Santa Claus to be on hand to greet children and take their Christmas wish list. Admission is $3 for adults. Children 12 years and younger are free. There will be drawings for door prizes during the festival.

“We want to thank our vendors and sponsors who are making the festival a great marketplace where there is something for everyone,” said Rick Osburn, festival coordinator. “We invite everyone to come out to the Mallet, take a look and shop for the holidays.”

Festival sponsors include Smith Auto Family, City Bank, Hockley County School Employees Credit Union, First Bank and Trust, George Keeling Insurance Agency, McDonalds of Levelland, KLVT Radio, Krestridge Funeral Directors, Levelland News-Press, Bush’s Chicken, College Avenue Animal Clinic, Jim Cole, Dr. Amanda Neal and Dr. George Payne, Optometrists, South Plains Community Action Association and Sodexo.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit the youth, community and international service projects of the Levelland Noon Rotary Club and the Levelland Breakfast Rotary Club.
