If you missed your chance to take on the 40-mile Chosin Challenge, there are still two ways to join us:

➡️DEVIL DOG CHALLENGE — 17 MILES//OPEN
A demanding challenge. Rugged winter mountain trails with steep inclines, a 1 night winter bivouac and 2 river crossings.

➡️WARRIOR COURSE— 4 MILES//OPEN
An all-accessible trail experience for those who want to get outdoors, participate in a day hike to honor all our Service Members and Veterans.
•
Along the way remember our Service members who fought a 78-mile withdrawal during the coldest winter in recorded history on the Korean Peninsula.
•
60 days till step off. The mission is officially underway.
A huge thank you to everyone who’s registered and accepted the “Challenge.” Now it’s time to continue your training, break-in those boots, prepare, and get ready to hit the winter trails.

WHAT TO BRING ON THE TRAIL

Heading into the Frozen Chosin Challenge? Make sure your pack is ready.

Here are some important items to have with you:

Hand warmers
Wool cap
A good set of gloves
Good, broken-in boots
Wool socks
Walking stick/trekking poles
Comfortable, supportive backpack
Water + water filter
High-energy go-food like trail mix while hiking
Freeze-dried meals + a way to boil water
A quality winter rated sleeping bag.
Tent or shelter

The right gear can make all the difference. Prepare for the cold, the miles, and the conditions.

AT WHAT AGE CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE FCC CHALLENGE?

The minimum age to participate is 15 years old.
Participants ages 15–17 must be registered and hike/ruck with a parent, guardian, or family member who is 18+.
Important: ❗️Participants under 18 must always remain with their parent/guardian while on the route.
