We are seeking volunteers and supporters to assist in the sewing of protective fabric masks. This is a coordinated effort to use the fabric masks to extend the life and supply of the N95 respirator masks. These respirator masks are in critical short supply nationally, and provide the best protection for our health care workers, patients, and community. Join our facebook group to receive more instructions. https://www.facebook.com/groups/223054975601264/about/
There are multiple ways you can assist. Some of these include:
1. Sharing this facebook group page with others so that we get more volunteers.
2. Donation of your time in sewing the Merv 13 fabric masks.
3. Donation of supplies to people in this group who are out of work and cannot afford the supplies but have the time to make the masks.
Once masks are assembled, they may be dropped off or mailed into the central collection point. There is a document in this fb group page with a list of places where you can drop them off or send.
We are also building a list of hospitals and clinics that are in need...so please get in touch with local hospitals, clinics, etc and ask if they are in need and is so what is there contact info and delivery address or drop off address. Then...post it in the document on the facebook group for all to see.
Here's one: Beginning Wednesday, March 25, completed protective fabric masks may be dropped off or mailed to Bassettโs warehouse located at 26 Grove St. Cooperstown, NY 13326 (if mailing, please put Attention: Fabric Masks).
God Bless you all!
