Happening now! Saturday, May 2, Friends of the Library Book Sale at the Leon Valley Public Library (Peggy Bissett Meeting Room). Goes to 2pm.

01/14/2026

No Book Sale this month (February) either, but LVPL does have a small selection of books on several carts to offer--minimum donation of $1 gets your choice of those items!

12/30/2025

Sorry, Friends of LVPL Book Sale Fans, but there won't be a sale at the annex this month. There *is* a limited selection of books available at the Leon Valley Public Library, offered for donations (at least $1 gets you your choice of what's available!) though.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! (we sure need one, right?)

12/13/2023

Join us tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, December 14th, in wishing Rosemary well--into her retirement!
Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Leon Valley Public Library from 1pm - 2pm.

Breakfast with Santa Day! Rise and shine and make merry with Santa, lol! Saturday, Dec. 2, 9am-11am.

11/20/2023

Get ready to tell Santa how good you've been this year! Food discount tickets available here at the library (cash/check--$5 gets you $6 worth of tickets!). Breakfast with Santa is a free Friends of the LVPL event--you can buy breakfast munchies or help support the library through written bids in the silent auction, and you can also simply enjoy all the decorations and ambience plus visit with Santa for free! Saturday, Dec. 2 at 9am.

That time of year again! Roll the clocks back an hour before you go to bed...all those alarm clocks, wall clocks, radio clocks, watches, wonky phones, cantankerous computers, TV clocks, thermostats, microwave ovens, car clocks, and other stuff you forget about until it's too late!

01/06/2023

The Friends of the Leon Valley Public Library First Saturday Sale will be January 7, 2023 at the corner of Poss Road and Evers Road,
9:30 a.m. - 12 noon.
We have lots of books and DVDs! Fiction, non-fiction, children's, young adult. There is something for everybody!

11/17/2022

That time of year again!! The EVENT is quite free, but the food, official Santa photos and some of the craft activities cost tickets (like at a carnival!). You can see and talk to Santa and take your own photos for free as usual. But if you buy advance saver tickets for $5 before Breakfast With Santa day, you get an extra dollar's worth of "carnival" tickets at the door! And then there's the Silent Auction, to procure some nifty Christmas presents...
