After last night, we are feeling beyond grateful.

In Fostering Change’s 9-year history, we received our largest single donation ever thanks to the incredible generosity of the Massachusetts State Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Their mission of People Helping People aligns closely with ours: supporting children and families when they need community the most.

A very special thank you to Cheryl Noel, this year’s outgoing Massachusetts Madame State President from Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4311, who chose Fostering Change, Inc. to benefit from her year-long fundraising campaign. Cheryl, your heart for children in care is truly unforgettable. ❤️

We’re not ready to share the final number just yet… but trust us, it’s BIG. Stay tuned for photos, details, and a whole lot of gratitude. This gift will make a lasting impact for foster children and families across Central Massachusetts. 💙

📚 Help Us Fill the Map for Our Back-to-School Supply Drive! 🎒

Fostering Change is getting ready for our annual Supplies for Success Back-to-School Drive, supporting foster youth throughout Central Massachusetts from preschool through college/career programs.

We currently have 6 drop-off locations between Leominster and Fitchburg, and we are so grateful for the small businesses already stepping up to support this effort. 💙

But we really need a few more community drop-off spots to help make this year’s drive successful, especially businesses with regular foot traffic like:

🏦 Banks and credit unions
🏢 Offices and corporate locations
💇‍♀️ Salons and barber shops
🏋️ Gyms and fitness studios
☕ Coffee shops
🏪 Local businesses and community spaces

Drop-off locations would simply host a collection box during the drive. We provide the box and flyers, promote participating businesses on our social media, and arrange pickup at the end of the drive.

Every backpack, calculator, pack of markers, and pair of headphones helps a foster youth start the school year feeling prepared, supported, and seen. 💙

Words won't describe all we feel for all of you out there in our communities making things like this come true. We came to you with a mission ... help a young 18yr foster child who was having a baby, and in ONE WEEK ... you did all of this!!! Humbled, proud, overjoyed, and all the emotions. You guys! You are killing it helping out the young mom! She is being induced today so she can get treatment for the pre-cancerous polyps. Wishlist is still up. We are meeting with the social worker the end of next week so still time to help mom and baby!

Thank you all so much for the overwhelming response and for the kindness you have shown toward this young mom and her baby girl. We are working through the comments and messages as quickly as possible and truly appreciate everyone’s patience.

Board members will be available for donation drop-offs:

Walmart or local pickup between Worcester and Leominster
Friday between 12:00 and 2:00PM
Saturday 2:00 and 4:00PM

Landmark Storage Facility in Leominster
Sunday from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday after 6:00 PM

If those times do not work for you, or if you need to request a pickup, please send us a message with the details of what you would like to donate and your availability. A board member will be in touch as soon as possible.

At this time, new items items only for baby hygiene, feeding items, diapers, wipes, and essentials. We are able to accept some lightly used items.

If you aren't commenting with something to help, please keep it to yourself. Respect that we are here to help this young lady and unborn baby and are NOT here to debate how it happened.**

We have been contacted on behalf of an 18 yr old foster girl who is 37 weeks pregnant. She also has pre-cancerous polyops and will require surgery right after birth. She is having a baby girl.

She is is need of the following items. DCF was able to obtain the large items for her. She needs: Clothes, baby swing, bouncer, bibs, bottles, pacifiers, high chair, LOTS of diapers and wipes, as well as baby hygiene products.
