The characteristic that makes our organization different from others is, our unique combination of youth & adult members who serve as our Board of Directors. We are provided to considering any interested youth's opinions, ideas & willingness to take on partial roles of getting the
ir school or fellow peers involved in item specific fundraisers & possible volunteer opportunities for local shelters & animal organizations. thrives on obtaining & filtering as many animal resources as possible. With a continually growing network of fellow animal lovers, professionals & organizations, we can help inform pet owner's of useful information regularly. A few areas we are able to assist with are the following: Connecting pet owners with agencies that offer financial assistance for medical animal emergencies, information on food stamp & food bank programs that provide pet food in a time of need, phone contacts & access to pet loss counselors, information on low cost spay/neuter & vaccination programs and much more! Area's of specialty is our animal liaison services. Although these services are provided strictly by our adult volunteers, the youth get to oversee the operation of each situation with the hope of one day being involved directly. Our organization empathizes with people who are unexpectedly put in a position and can no longer care for their pets. This is a circumstance we treat very sensitively and after a intake process & interview we are able to create a perfect understanding of what qualities we will desire from the new potential adopters. Once it is determined each animal has met our intake guidelines ( no aggression issues, current on vaccinations, ect.) we are then able to set up a meet and greet with the adoption candidates. Once a appropriate & possible match has been met we are then able to move forward and make a decision based off of a background history of the new potential owners. Through home visits, vet checks & non-family reference checks we are then able to choose the perfect family which is based after considering each & every one of the animals unique & specific needs. Every animal that transitions into a new placement will initially enter on a "foster to adopt trial period" CTCF Inc. Believes a animal's true qualities, characteristics & quirks will be revealed during a 1-2 week period. At the end of the trial period, the new family will make a final decision to adopt permanently at this time. Our organization is also currently establishing a strong foster base of pre-screened safe & loving temporary homes that are available when time is of the essence & a animal requires emergency foster services. Please be advised Committed to Canines is based entirely on a volunteer basis however any donations are
greatly appreciated and can be utilized towards animals in need.
