Such a treat to have these views from around our lake while walking the dog this morning, made it tough to go back to work.
Reminder: this Sunday the 18th is lake cleanup day. There is work that needs to be done and yes it will be chilly, but the more hands we have the faster it will go🙂 Meet at the Dam for 9:00AM
For an idea of what needs to be accomplished, our Dam inspection will be next March so we need to get the Dam Ship Shape this year to be ready. The lower spillway will need to cleared of blockages and w**d growth as well as cleanup of the Dam face and banks of any woody type brush and w**ds that are growing. Tools that would be handy to have are rakes, Loppers, Pick axe and maybe a shovel. For those in the water, Waders if you got em.
We will also be clearing cattails from the Lincoln Rd beach.

Top board was removed from the dam this morning so the drawdown will be moving more quickly.
REMINDER: The Lake workday is next Sunday, October 18, meet the the dam 9am. We need a good turnout to do a big job below the spillway; getting ready for the early spring dam inspection.
Neighbor is donating his tractor, grapple and trailer to remove accumulated debris and take it to composting sites.
See you the 18th!

LAKE WORKDAY, Sunday, October 18, meet at the dam 9 am.
We have some heavy-lifting work this year, cleaning debris from the spillway, and need more help than usual. A generous neighbor will assist with his truck and trailer to get the debris to the composting facility. The more hands we have the less time this project will take.
We’ll also be doing some less strenuous work at the Lincoln membership beach and Boat Ramp — help always is welcome.
Let us know if you see other Lake cleanup projects that need attention.
THANK YOU

Happy Friday, neighbors -

The annual Lake drawdown will begin the weekend of
October 4 - 5. We anticipate the gradual process taking about two weeks.

Once the drawdown is complete, we will schedule a workday to clean debris from the dam spillway. We will need hearty volunteers for some heavy work. Date TBA
